Ch-12 Change and Level Up

Omae seemed to be struggling quite a bit in his fight against the goblins on the floor below. He had a hard time, but in the end he managed to defeat them with the help of the teacher and some of the lower class boys.

Ishiguro suffered most of the injuries during the incident. Although he seems to have several broken bones, his life is fortunately not in danger. In a way, it's a blessing that no one was killed.

Following the incident, the school held an emergency staff meeting and a PTA meeting.

It was recommended that students carry stun guns and small knives to and from school, provided it didn't violate the Sword and Firearms Control Act.

Meanwhile, the Kendo club saw a sudden influx of new members.

Unfortunately, it became clear that judo was ineffective against the goblins, so many students joined the Kendo Club in hopes of learning how to use bladed weapons.

Personally, I've never seen a Kendo club teach students how to use knives, so I have no intention of joining.

After defeating the goblin, I noticed that my injured wrist no longer hurt. Curious, I quickly checked my condition.

Miyazaki Mikado
- LV: 1 → 2
- HP: 10 → 15
- ATK: 5 → 10
- VIT: 5 → 9
- INT: 3 (unchanged)
- AGI: 6 → 12
Skill:Gacha 1 → 2

Somehow, I had leveled up to level 2.

All my stats had increased, and the number of times I could use the skill Gacha had increased to two.

However, my INT hadn't changed - it was still stuck at 3. Maybe INT doesn't increase when you level up?

While the other stats were well above average due to leveling up, I had hoped that INT would at least reach 5. But there's nothing I can do about it.

Even though I only killed one goblin, I still leveled up.

I'm not sure if Omae, who also fought goblins, leveled up as well, or if there are other factors at play. But it's definitely an improvement for me.

What I've noticed after leveling up is that my daily life hasn't changed much.

The difference is noticeable when I concentrate or exert myself. I can feel that I'm producing more power and speed than before.

This is helpful in a way. It would be a problem if my strength increased so much that I couldn't hold chopsticks or pencils. Fortunately, it seems that the stat boosts only apply during combat or emergencies.

Of course, I immediately told Himawari about my level-up.

"Onii-chan, I already know. It's okay because we won't be fighting."

"If a goblin shows up at your school, you'll definitely run away."

"I know, I know."

I wonder if I could defeat another goblin more easily now that I've leveled up.

No, it's not that easy.

That was just a sneak attack from behind - it might not be that easy next time.
