"Then, Himawari-chan, you get a Frappuccino."
"Thank you!"
Himawari is surprisingly bold when it comes to ordering expensive items.
In a way, I envy my little sister's ability to order something like that with a smile.
I settle for a hot chocolate, and the four of us sit down at a table.
"Hehehe~"
"What's with the laugh, Mikami-san?"
"I think this is the first time I've had a real conversation with Miyazaki-kun like this. I'd like to hear all about your brother today."
"Yes, of course I would. I've got a Frappuccino and I'm looking forward to chatting with two beautiful ladies."
"Oh no~ Himawari-chan. Honest and sweet girls are the best. I already love you like a little sister."
'Hey, Himawari, are you really going to spill everything about me over a Frappuccino?'
I didn't know much about Mikami-san, but is she really that kind of person?
I suddenly have a bad feeling about this. What exactly does she hope to learn by asking me so many questions?
"What are your hobbies, Miyazaki-kun?"
"What are your hobbies, Onii-chan? I don't think you have any in particular."
"Wait, wait a second! At least let me answer that myself!"
"So, what are your hobbies?"
"Nothing in particular," I mumbled reluctantly.
"So, Himawari-chan, what do you think about your brother's personality?"
"Well, he's kind to me, but he can be a bit overprotective."
"That's right."
"Yes, he is someone who hides a strong sense of responsibility. He may not say much, but in the end he always helps."
"Ah, that's exactly what I thought!"
What is happening now?
For some reason, Mikami-san keeps asking Himawari endless questions about my personal life, and Himawari answers every single one of them. Worse, she's even throwing in unnecessary details!
Meanwhile, Kagurazaka-san sits next to me, listening intently with a look of genuine interest.
This is beyond embarrassing.
The chaos continues as my classmates pepper Himawari with questions about me, and my little sister answers them as if it's the most natural thing in the world.
"By the way, Onii-chan likes hayashi rice more than curry."
"I see. That's pretty unique for a boy. Thanks for sharing!"
"You're welcome. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me anytime."
"Well, my last question is for Miyazaki-kun."
What?
After all this grilling, it's my turn now?
I have a bad feeling about this.
"Where did you get the hatchet you used to save Maika?"
"That was in self-defense," I replied quickly.
"Miyazaki-kun, I was in the classroom at the time. I could see you and Maika clearly."
Mikami-san's words made me break out in a cold sweat.
"That's right."
"And then, all of a sudden, a hatchet appeared on your desk - where there was nothing before."
"It's not magic. Not at all," I stammered.
"Well, I happened to witness the moment it appeared."
"Uh, that's just..."
"Mikami, let's stop this."
"Miyazaki-kun, it's definitely a skill."
"..."
"I thought so. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."
"Why not?"
"Anyone could tell from your attitude."
Was my attitude really so easy to read?
When I looked at Himawari, she had an angry expression on her face. It seemed as if she understood exactly what was happening.
"Please keep it a secret," I said defeated.
"Of course. You saved Maika's life, and I'm grateful. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't been there."
"I'm glad to hear that."
"But why keep it a secret? You could brag about having a skill."
"My skill isn't suitable for fighting. If I accidentally end up as a Saber, I'll be targeted by monsters. It's too dangerous."
"But you sliced that goblin in half with a single strike."
"That was pure luck. I couldn't do it again."
"Hmm... By the way, I'm really interested in skills. Could you teach me about them?"
In the end, I explained everything I knew about my abilities and status to both Kagurazaka-san and Mikami-san.
It wasn't the easiest conversation, but at least they seemed to understand the importance of keeping things secret.
