Ch-17 Encounter Goblins Again!

After I left the two of them, I wandered around the city again.

On my way home, it suddenly happened.

"Onii-chan!"

"Yes, definitely. Goblins."

The same goblins I had defeated the other day appeared - three of them this time.

There was no one else around, and it was clear that they were after us.

What was I going to do?

I wasn't sure what to do.

Perhaps because I had defeated one before, I didn't feel the same fear this time. However, even with my increased level, I knew I couldn't handle three goblins on my own.

Could we escape? If I attacked them and held them off, would Himawari be able to escape? But if they caught up with her, she'd be defenseless.

Could I hold off all three by myself long enough for Himawari to escape?

"Himawari, you run away."

"Onii-chan, I'll fight too."

"No, absolutely not."

"You can't do it alone, Onii-chan."

She wasn't wrong, it would be difficult for me to take on three goblins alone.

"Okay, let's work together. But stay behind me."

"I know."

I drew the sword I had been holding and gripped it tightly.

The goblin in front of me began to move violently, its hideous appearance both intimidating and grotesque.

Even though they were small, their menacing movements were unnerving.

"Onii-chan, let's go."

"Ah."

I looked back and saw Himawari taking out her smartphone.

"How about this, big brother?"

"Gravity."

At the same time as Himawari's skill activated, one of the goblins fell to his knees, a pained expression on his face.

"This might work. Just avoid my attacks, Onii-chan."

Himawari's warning was clear as she stepped back.

In an instant, an iron ball materialized behind the kneeling goblin and struck his head with brutal force.

"Thud!"

The sound of crushing flesh echoed and the goblin disappeared in an instant.

It all happened so fast, but unbelievably, Himawari had managed to kill one of the goblins by herself.

"Onii-chan, here comes another one."

"Gravity."

Himawari called out her skill so that I could follow her strategy.

Seeing that the goblin was slowed down by her skill, I charged forward.

I noticed that my speed had increased, which surprised me, but I didn't stop. I closed the gap in an instant and grabbed my sword with both hands.

I brought the blade down on the goblin's sagging neck.

Unlike the last time, the sword cut cleanly through. Whether it was the difference in my weapon or my improved status, I wasn't sure, but this time I had no trouble at all.

"Onii-chan!"

I turned just in time to see the third goblin about to attack me.

I instinctively jumped back, narrowly avoiding its strike.

Suddenly, the iron ball flew out again and sank into the goblin's head, killing it instantly.

"Himawari!"

"Onii-chan, that was a bit dangerous," she said casually.

Why is she so nonchalant about it?

There had been three goblins, but somehow they were all defeated.

To my shock, it felt like Himawari had done most of the work.

Wasn't this her first fight against goblins? How could she already be so strong?

She used 'Gravity' to immobilize them and 'Iron Strike' to finish them off - it was almost perfect.

Of course, there were limits to her abilities, and it would still be dangerous for her to fight alone.

But even though it was her first fight, my sister had shown overwhelming potential.
